Parkour is French in origin and involves participants running along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in the most efficient way possible, as if moving in an emergency situation, using skills such as jumping and climbing,
or the more specific parkour moves. The obstacles can be anything in one’s environment, but parkour is often seen practiced in urban areas because of many suitable public structures that are accessible to most people, such as buildings and rails. ( Source Wikipedia)
Sean is an ex-Royal Marines Commando Physical Training Instructor (PTI) with numerous sports, exercise and fitness qualifications under his belt including; REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) Advanced Instructor Level 3 (Fitness Manager and Personal Trainer), British Weight Lifting Association (BWLA) Coach, Kettle Bell Instructor, and SAQ (Speed Agility Quickness) diploma.
Sean also has a BSc Honours degree in Molecular Genetics from King’s College London, and is a qualified teacher, with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Plymouth.
Sean has written a number of articles for various websites and is also the author of "the Royal Marines' Fitness Manual" Published by Haynes in 2009.
Sean's personal sporting background includes martial arts, athletics/cross country, football, rugby, climbing and Parkour.
