Hypoxic Training for 1000 Mile Sticky

Johnny “Sticky” Budden joined Sean in his new role as Fitness Manager of the Third Space, to do a hard CV session in the hypoxic chamber at the exclusive London Gym.

The Hypoxic chamber controls the amount of oxygen in air and reduces it to between 14-16% simulating training at altitude. The Hypoxic chamber at The Third Space was used by the Radio1/BBC team to train prior to scaling Mount Kilimanjaro last year, as it simulated the altitude. Sticky is running from John O’Groates to Paris later this year to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease.

On a brief visit to London Johnny nipped into the Third Space to take advantage of the Hypoxic chamber and to do some altitude training to hopefully improve his CV system prior to his epic journey. A video of the hour and a half session can be seen below.

Look out for Sticky joining Sean for another session or two prior to his 1000 mile Parkour adventure beggining later this year.
