Hi Sean and guys

Great site, looks like it might be some help

Around 2 years ago i was 18 stone fat over weight nothing,  then decided i wanted to do my dream, become a Marine

I went out running, could only last a mile but after 8-10months the weight flew off, went down to just under 14 stone and running 6-10 miles every other night (or 3 times a week if more), id get back from my run and wanted and could  go for more LOL

I applied , passed all the tests but 2 weeks before my PRMC i was out running and BAMMMM  end of the road, my front left leg became painful, it seemed the front of my leg was swelling up and somthing was trying to break out my skin and could hardly move my leg/foot so i stopped, after 5 mins it calmed down and ever since then every time ive tried to run this condition comes back and is very uncomftable! this was a year ago, so i stopped, the weight has/is pilling back on as i struggle with my weight, so i decided to give it a go after a year of nothing, within 20mins it was back :(

my reserach on the net comes back with Antierior compartment syndrome but i dont know

my weight is getting me down now and as i can't get my drug of running is depressing

the diagram below is pointing to the muscle/point of swelling and stiffness after 10 mins of running

alright mate,

this problem is all than too familiar to me! as i sufferd with it through part of my training at CTC untill i left ! what i would say to you is possibly go to physio if you havnt already been, but when i went all they said to me was stretch ! i also found that getting a pair of trainers fited proffesionally has worked for me, i stuill get the problem lightly but not as bad as before, the problem may also because your training to much and to hard.

hope you get it sorted.
